Masai Autumn 23 Collection
In Masai’s own words, ‘Autumn has its own sense of style’, and with new textures, colours, and fabrics it is ‘as sure as the weather’ that we are entering a new season. As well as a replenishment of staple Masai basics, expect bold prints, floaty silhouettes and layering favourites. Masai has embraced the Autumn season as a time to continue sporting colour as opposed to switching to a dull colour palette, so there is a great mix of bright prints and knits alongside more muted pieces.
Read along to discover the themes from within Masai’s Autumn 2023 Journal which encompass their vision for the collection. The two main themes for this season are ‘American Classic’ and ‘French Chic’, two juxtaposing aesthetics that provide equally as beautiful pieces!
Sustainable approach
Masai is always ‘committed to thoughtfulness’ when it comes to their processes and decisions in terms of the environment. 62% of their Autumn 2023 collection is certified or has been produced in a more responsible manner. From FSC-certified viscose to BCI cotton, Masai collaborates with multiple leading sustainable non-profits to provide the best current standard of these fabrics, in terms of their impact on the planet.
American Classic
‘The style perceived as American combines much-loved staples with simplicity, elegance, and a strong sense of colour.’ Expect classic and flattering silhouettes alongside bold prints and shade choices to create wearable statement pieces. The colour palette includes different shades of blue, monochrome, coral, and neutral hues. Gemini Woman’s favourite piece from this part of the collection is the ‘MaNodetta Coral Floral Print Dress’ as the Nodetta silhouette is popular year after year, and this feminine print is perfect for transitional dressing.
French Chic
‘A key element of French Chic is to wear items that feel luxurious in everyday life. Not saving them for special occasions, but to invest in them, wear them and enjoy them.’ Rich colours of pink and purple are used within the prints which add to the luxurious feel of these pieces, alongside monochrome styles which are famously affiliated with French Chic. Masai creates timeless staples every season, and this Autumn is no exception. Much-loved silhouettes, such as the MaNell dress, the MaFosna knit and the MaFanasi knit are available in new colours. As well as this, Spring favourites such as the MaNalan is now in a new fabric and print.
