Jill Yardley is our go-to beauty and skincare guru and regularly joins us at our in-store fashion shows, events and campaign shoots to give our customers an insight into how a great skincare and beauty routine can drastically change the way you look and feel. Offering bespoke makeup artistry for every occasion, Jill is always on hand to give expert advice, tutorials, tips and tricks, so it was only natural that we asked her to be the make up artist for our Summer Of Style campaign shoot. 

If you've been following our Summer Of Style campaign you'll already know that we asked our fashion show models and loved customers Wendy and Eileen to be the faces of the campaign. Jill used a palette of shimmering summer tones to enhance Wendy and Eileen's natural looks.  - Face - 

Primer - The Golden Shimmer Lotion mixed with foundation acts as a primer or can be used as a highlighter

Foundation - Jill applied the Liquid Minerals Foundation to create a dewy, sheer coverage perfect for the summer heat using a foundation brush

Bronzer - The So Bronze Bronzing Powder applied with the kabuki brush acts as a 3-in-1 bronzer, contour powder and highlight and creates a gorgeous, glowing look. 

Blush - Jill applied the Pure Pressed Blush in Barely Rose using a dome brush. 

Finishing - The finish the look Jill applied the Pommist Hydration Spray which not only helps set your makeup but aids in minimising sun damage.

- Eyes - 

Eye Colour - Jill applied one of her favourite products from the range, the 24-Karat Gold Dust Shimmer Powder in Champagne with the blending brush.

Eye Pencil - Jill use the Eye Pencil in Black Brown to add definition to the lids.

Mascara - Another of Jill's favourites, the Longest Lash Thickening and Lengthening Mascara in Black Ice added length and thickness to Wendy and Eileen's eyes. 

- Brows - 

Brow Palette - Jill is a HD Brows specialist and used the HD Brows Eye and Brow Palette in Foxy which suits most eyebrow colours and skintones.

- Lips - 

Lipstick - Jill used the Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain in Forever Red on Eileen which adapts to the natural skintone.

Lipgloss - On Wendy, Jill opted for a sizzling summer coral. The Lip Fixation Lip Stain/Gloss in Devotion is long lasting and highly pigmented. 

- Jill's Summer Beauty Tips -

"During the Summer months, it’s all about having glowing skin and soft contouring and bronzing helps to give that sought after sunkissed look. I recommend using the So Bronze Bronzer which is an essential for your capsule make up holiday kit as it bronzes, highlights and contours. Be daring and go metallic and shimmery on the eyes and define with an eyeliner. Water-resistant products are great for pool to party and are long lasting in the summer heat. I recommend using the Eye Shere Liquid Eye Shadow applied over a lid primer and adding sparkle with the 24-Karat Gold Eye Shimmer (as featured on the lovely models) which suits all eye colours and skin tones. For a lightweight summer base I love the Amazing Base Loose Mineral Powder which offers medium coverage, is weightless and doesn't leave a sticky sunscreen feeling, with built in SPF it protects from the sun and leaves you looking flawless. (Your own skin, but better.) For the lips I always reach for sizzling corals. My favourite summer lipstick is The Puremoist Lipstick in Liz as it's the perfect summer coral shade."

- Jill's Summer Skincare Tips -

"Lightweight products always feel better in the summer heat. Lotions and BB creams work excellently in place of a heavy foundation. Be sure to step up exfoliation routines with something soft and gentle to leave skin feeling smooth. One of my go-to summer products is the Dermologica daily exfoliant which is gentle enough to use everyday. Always look for products with an SPF to keep your skin protected from harmful UV rays and don't forget it's always handy to have an SPF lip balm in your handbag to quench and protect the lips. For one with a hint of colour why not try the Jane Iredale Lip Drink Lip Balm? My favourite colour is Buff as it goes with everything. Cleansing is a very imprortant step in your skin routine, foaming cleansers help to give you a fresh feeling during the warmer months.
